The Weehawken Indians waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 23-16 win over American History.
Several Bald Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ashiyah Holliman, who scored seven points along with three steals. Holliman hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Shamiyah Mubarak, who scored two points along with seven steals.
Weehawken's victory ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-5. As for American History, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Weehawken will head out on the road to challenge Harrison at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for American History, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bard Early College at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
