This season hasn't been kind to the Union Spartans, who are still winless after their 13th matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 58-17 loss at the hands of Rosewood. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Union has suffered since November 28, 2023.
Julius Coltrane was his usual excellent self, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and two blocks for Rosewood. Coltrane hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Medlin, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Union's loss was their 13th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-13. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.8 points per game. As for Rosewood, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union will challenge North Duplin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rosewood, they will head out on the road to square off against Neuse Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
