The Shenandoah Raiders are taking a road trip to square off against the New Castle Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Shenandoah will be strutting in after a win while New Castle will be coming in after a defeat.
Shenandoah will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Cowan on Thursday. The Raiders blew past the Blackhawks 13-2. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

Collin Osenbaugh made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Chase Osenbaugh was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Ethan Taylor also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Shenandoah was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cowan only posted a batting average of .160.
Meanwhile, New Castle fell victim to Knightstown and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 9-0 to the Panthers.
New Castle saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caiden Regan, who went 2-for-3 with one double.
New Castle's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Shenandoah, their record is now 5-1.
New Castle's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Shenandoah has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .557. It's a different story for New Castle, though, as they've only averaged .343. Will they be able to contain Shenandoah's hitters?
Shenandoah came out on top in a nail-biter against New Castle in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
