The Georgetown G-Men won against the New Richmond Lions last Monday with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. Georgetown managed a 42-38 win over New Richmond. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Georgetown.
Georgetown's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Morgan Preston, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lizzy Cahall, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Georgetown pushed their record up to 10-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for New Richmond, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Georgetown will challenge Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for New Richmond, they will head out on the road to take on Clinton-Massie at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
