They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Riverdale Chieftains. The Rockets were not able to make up for their  loss to the Chieftains from their previous meeting  back in September of 2024.
 In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, New Lisbon sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-16, 23-25,  15-11.
Their offense was headlined by  Heidi Mathes and  Keira Wilkinson, who picked up five kills apiece. Mathes really made an impact as  she also led the team in assists with 11. Wilkinson was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with three aces.
New Lisbon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Riverdale, their victory  ended  an  eight-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 10-7.
 New Lisbon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  2-0  win against Almond-Bancroft on the 20th. As for Riverdale, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  2-1  loss against Poynette on the 20th.
