Having just played yesterday, the Legacy Charter Eagles will jump right back in to play the Colonial Grenadiers at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Legacy Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, it was close, but Legacy Charter sidestepped Boone for a 44-42 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Legacy Charter.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legacy Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyle James, who scored nine points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Garrison Cooper, who scored five points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought match, but Colonial had to settle for a 54-51 loss against Palm Bay on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Colonial can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Palm Bay is ranked 64th).
Legacy Charter has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Colonial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.
