The Bristol Eastern Lancers will head out on the road to take on the Newington Nor'easters at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Bristol Eastern knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Newington likes a good challenge.
Bristol Eastern's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Northwest Catholic with a sharp 19-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won five in a row.

In other batting news, Corinne Sutula was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Lyla Wegiel also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Newington scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Naugatuck by a score of 16-15. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (12), the Nor'easters still had to take the loss.
Aniyah Ross made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Newington's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Bristol Eastern has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Newington, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 strikeouts. Will Bristol Eastern keep running through batters, or will the Nor'easters buck the trend?
Bristol Eastern couldn't quite finish off Newington in their previous meeting back in April of 2022 and fell 7-5. Can the Lancers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
