Morris is a perfect 3-0 against Serena since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Redskins will face off against the Huskers at 4:30 p.m. Morris is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
Morris' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Kaneland by a score of 4-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Mylie Hughes was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.
Hughes wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Halie Olson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Olson has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Serena's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of St. Francis by a score of 5-4.
Brynley Glade made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Jenna Setchell was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.
Morris pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Serena, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Morris hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .361. However, it's not like Serena struggles in that department as they've averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Morris was able to grind out a solid victory over Serena when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 12-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Redskins since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
