After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Non Varsity Opponent, the Quad Cities Christian Eagles were happy to have found some success  on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy  50-36 victory over Galesburg Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Quad Cities Christian also won the last time the pair played  back in November of 2023.
  Piper Ochkie continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines,  scoring 19 points along with four  steals and two  blocks. She hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games.  Raegan Ochkie was another key contributor,  scoring 13 points along with nine  rebounds and four  blocks.
 Galesburg Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Grace Potter, who  scored 14 points along with eight  rebounds and three  blocks. That's the first time this season that  Potter  posted two or more   blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kaela Hall, who  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and 15  rebounds.
 Quad Cities Christian's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Galesburg Christian, their defeat  ended  an  eight-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 6-5.
 Quad Cities Christian won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Tri-State Christian at 5:00  p.m.  on January 19th. Tri-State Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Galesburg Christian, they will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Morning Star Academy at 5:00  p.m. Morning Star Academy's defense has only allowed 29.1  points per game this season, so Galesburg Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
