Despite the loss, New Ulm Cathedral still got an impressive performance from Jevan Wilfahrt, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 25 rebounds. The matchup was Wilfahrt's third in a row with at least ten points. Jake Finstad was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Minnesota Valley Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for New Ulm Cathedral, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
