Volleyball Recap: Swanton Has No Trouble Against Montpelier

Swanton won the last time they faced Montpelier and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Locomotives. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Swanton was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-14, 25-13.

Alexa Faber paced Swanton's offense, picking up 14 kills. Faber got some help from Ellie Saunders and her 21 assists. Kinley Curtis controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Swanton's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Montpelier, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Swanton will welcome Archbold at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Montpelier, they will host North Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
