Seminole hasn't had much luck against Deltona recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Seminoles will challenge the Wolves at 5:30 p.m. Seminole is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Seminole beat Oviedo 8-3. The win continues a trend for the Seminoles in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.
Maggie Long made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Madie Baker was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ava Hertz, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Seminole was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Deltona unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lake Howell. The match marked the first time this year in which the Wolves were not able to get on the board.
Tessa Guenette was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits.
On the hitting side, Amayah Jones was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
Seminole's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Deltona, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.
