Bridgeport extended their winning streak to nine on Monday, bumping them up to 21-3. Everything went their way against the Parkersburg South Patriots as they made off with a 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won 13 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

As for Parkersburg South, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-17. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since March 25th.

For Parkersburg South's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Fluty, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Logan Graham was another, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Bridgeport didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-5 win against Robert C. Byrd on the 5th. As for Parkersburg South, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Hurricane at 5:30 p.m. The Redskins' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
