Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lockwood). They breezed by the Verona Wildcats to the tune of 74-37 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers who have now won four matches in a row.

Lockwood pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Verona, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lockwood will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pierce City at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Verona also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Galena at 6:00 p.m. on January 14, 2025.
