Randleman is 10-0 against Providence Grove since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Randleman Tigers are on the road again and plays the Providence Grove Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you make seven more threes than your opponent, a fact Randleman proved on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 64-46 win over Uwharrie Charter. Randleman pushed the score to 55-34 by the end of the third, a deficit Uwharrie Charter cut but never quite recovered from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Randleman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Audra Petty, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Bella Byman was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Providence Grove took their game on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 63-23 victory over Trinity. The victory was just what Providence Grove needed coming off of a 71-31 defeat in their prior game.
Randleman pushed their record up to 15-6 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Providence Grove, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-9.
Randleman strolled past Providence Grove in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 58-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Randleman since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
