Make it nine blowout wins for the Southern Missouri RUSH * this season. They put the hurt on Exeter with a sharp 68-46 win on Saturday. Given Southern Missouri RUSH's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Exeter is ranked 438th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Hannah Gibbons, who scored 37 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Southern Missouri RUSH's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillian Mindeman, who scored 18 points along with five assists.
Southern Missouri RUSH has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Exeter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Southern Missouri RUSH on the road again on Thursday and play against Liberty on January 25th. As for Exeter, they will square off against Golden City at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
