Despite the loss, Lakewood Presbyterian saw an underclassman step up: Yarnell Freitas scored 12 points. Freitas continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
Harvest Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Cleary out in front who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Andy Cumbest, who scored 11 points.
Lakewood Presbyterian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Harvest Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Lakewood Presbyterian and the Falcons will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The timing is sure in Faustina Academy's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while the Knights have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. Harvest Christian Academy will take on the at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Grayson Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
