In what's become a running theme this season, the Alamo Heights Mules gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Edison 60-33 on the road. The win was nothing new for Alamo Heights as they're now sitting on 18 straight.
Alamo Heights' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hayes Waddy led the charge by scoring 13 points. Gunnar Jones was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Alamo Heights' victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Edison, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alamo Heights will take on Jefferson at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Jefferson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday. As for Edison, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Highlands at 6:30 p.m. Highlands has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.
