He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Mettler was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Thomas Torres and Nathan Bristor did most of the damage at the plate: Torres got on base in all four of his plate appearances with six RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Bristor scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. Xavier Rivera was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-5.
Clearview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .650. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bedford only posted an OBP of .357.
