Archbishop Alter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oakwood Lumberjacks. On the bright side, the eight- run performance marked the Knights' highest-scoring contest to date.

Archbishop Alter's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Oakwood, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Archbishop Alter is taking a road trip to square off against Carroll at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oakwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carlisle at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Lumberjacks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
