The Paramus Catholic Paladins basketball team scored 78 points and held the host Montclair Mounties to 73 in the Paladins non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Paladins now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ramapo for a North Bergen 1 contest on Tuesday, January 5.

The Mounties (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against East Orange Campus (East Orange, NJ). The Jaguars enter the Super Essex - Liberty contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, East Orange Campus nudged West Morris (Chester, NJ), 53-50, in a non-league contest.

Quarter 1

Quarter 2

5pts from PC Manny Hernandez, 5pts, from Montclair's Andy Charles. PC won the the 2nd quarter 11 to 8 to take a half time lead 18-14.

Quarter 3

Montclair heated up by scoring 29 pts inthe 3rd. 10 pts by Montciar's Andy Charles 9 pts & Vicant Citro helped Montclair outscore PC in the 3rd quarter 29-18. PC's Johnberry Badio scored 8pts & 5pts for Eddie Johnson for PC, but PC trailed at the end of the 3rd Quarter 43-36

Quarter 4

Justin Harris tournament MVP scored 10 of his game high 19pts, 11 rebs, 4 blocks and 5 for 6 from the foul line for PC. Justin recieved support from Andre Blackwood 7pts & Jordan Wade 4pts in the final quarter. Big three pointer from Eddie Johnson with 19 seconds left in the game. PC trailed by 1pts. PC fouled Montclair who knocked down to foul shots with 7 sec remaining. Andre Blackwood hit a three pointer at the buzzer to force overtime tied at 64.

Overtime

PC'S Andre Blackwood & Justin Harris took over the overtime period with 6pts from Blackwood & 5pts from Harris. A big charge from Harris on Montclair's Travis Layne, caused Travis to foul out of the game. PC won the overtime period 14 to 9 & won the mighty ghost christmas tournament 78-73
