New Jersey High School Basketball - Plainfield beat Union
Plainfield Cardinals (Plainfield, NJ) fans were pleased Thursday as they witnessed their basketball team notch a victory over the visiting Union Farmers (Union, NJ), 88-75 in a league game.
The Cardinals (18-2) will now prepare for their game against Irvington (Irvington, NJ). The Blue Knights enter the Watchung American game with a 10-9 record. In their last game, Irvington went down by Bridgewater-Raritan (Bridgewater, NJ), 50-47, in a league game.
Next up, the Farmers meet the Elizabeth Minutemen (Elizabeth, NJ) in a Watchung American game, on Thursday, February 23. Union will attempt to improve on its 3-18 season record. The Minutemen enter the game with a 6-13 record after their 61-60 league loss to East Side (Newark, NJ).
