Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Bloomfield Bobcats (Bloomfield, NM), 71-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Gallup upgrades its record to 12-11 on the season. The Bengals host Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to clash with the Chargers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 16. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 14-7. Albuquerque Academy won 80-32 in their recent non-league bout against Laguna Acoma (New Laguna, NM)

Next up, the Bobcats clash with the Miyamura Patriots (Gallup, NM) in a 4A District 1 bout, on Thursday, February 17. Bloomfield will attempt to upgrade on its 12-12 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 12-12 record after their 60-58 league win over Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM).
