New Mexico High School Basketball - Springer trounces Cimarron
The Springer Devils (Springer, NM) basketball crushed the host Cimarron Rams (Cimarron, NM), 80-57 in Saturday's league test.
The Devils (12-2) will now prepare for their test against Wagon Mound (Wagon Mound, NM). The Trojans go into the 1A District 1 test with a 5-7 record. In their last test, Wagon Mound walloped Mosquero (Mosquero, NM), 69-58, in a non-league test.
The Rams now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Santa Rosa for a non-league test on Thursday, January 15. Cimarron will clash with a Lions squad coming off a 49-48 non-league win over Fort Sumner (Fort Sumner, NM). The Lions record now stands at 13-1.
