New Mexico High School Basketball - Springer thwarts Cimarron
The Springer Devils (Springer, NM) basketball felled the host Cimarron Rams (Cimarron, NM), 83-75 in Friday's league test.
The Devils (13-3) will now prepare for their test against Maxwell (Maxwell, NM). The Bears go into the 1A District 1 test with a 4-10 record. In their last test, Maxwell went down by Des Moines (Des Moines, NM), 67-46, in a league test.
The Rams now own a 15-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Roy for a 1A District 1 test on Saturday, February 2. Cimarron will clash with a Longhorns squad coming off a 71-34 league loss to Wagon Mound (Wagon Mound, NM). The Longhorns record now stands at 2-7.
