Wagon Mound Trojans (Wagon Mound, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cimarron Rams (Cimarron, NM), 62-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wagon Mound upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Trojans host Tierra Encantada (Santa Fe, NM) to clash with the Alacranes (Scorpion) in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 9. The Alacranes (Scorpion) go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Tierra Encantada lost 66-46 in their recent non-league bout against Cimarron (Cimarron, NM)

Next up, the Rams clash with the Mosquero Pirates (Mosquero, NM) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 9. Cimarron will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 1-6 record after their 69-34 non-league loss to Vaughn (Vaughn, NM).
