Clovis Wildcats (Clovis, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM), 62-53 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Clovis upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 7. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 3-2.

Next up, the Rams clash with the Espanola Valley Sundevils (Espanola, NM) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 3. Rio Rancho will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Sundevils go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 60-59 non-league win over Grants (Grants, NM).
