The Hagerman Bobcats (Hagerman, NM) basketball nipped the visiting Mescalero Apache Chiefs (Mescalero, NM), 37-36 in Friday's non-league test.

The Bobcats (10-0) will now prepare for their test against Cloudcroft (Cloudcroft, NM). The Bears go into the non-league test with a 5-4 record. In their last test, Cloudcroft got by Gateway Christian (Roswell, NM), 51-45, in a non-league test.

The Chiefs now own a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Alamo Navajo for a non-league test on Saturday, January 8. Mescalero Apache will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 56-45 non-league loss to Monument Valley (Monument Valley, UT). The Cougars record now stands at 5-7.
