The Vaughn Eagles basketball team scored 74 points and restricted the host Lake Arthur Panthers to 54 in the Eagles league victory on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 17-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley Christian Academy for a 1A District 3 contest on Thursday, February 4. Vaughn will battle a Lions team coming off a 71-21 league loss to Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM). The Lions record now stands at 0-4.

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Hondo Valley Eagles (Hondo, NM) in a 1A District 3 bout, on Thursday, February 4. Lake Arthur will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 18-2 record after their 96-23 league win over Corona (Corona, NM).
