In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Magdalena Steers basketball team scored a close 50-48 win over the Springer Red Devils.
The Steers (19-9) will now prepare for their contest against Fort Sumner/House (Fort Sumner, NM). The enter the non-league match with a 23-5 record. In their last match, Fort Sumner/House got by Gateway Christian (Roswell, NM), 66-26, in a non-league match.
