In Thursday's league match, the visiting Maxwell Bears basketball team scored a tight 68-66 triumph over the Springer Red Devils.
In their next game, the Bears meet the Cimarron Rams (Cimarron, NM) in a A District 5 match, on Friday, January 31. Maxwell will attempt to move on its 14-4 season record. The Rams enter the match with a 8-5 record after their 54-46 league win over Des Moines (Des Moines, NM).
