The Newcomb Sky Hawks basketball team (Newcomb, NM), dropped 69-57 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Zuni Thunderbirds (Zuni, NM)

The Thunderbirds now sport a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Navajo Prep for a 2A District 1 battle on Thursday, January 31. Zuni will battle a Eagles team coming off a 85-59 league loss to Ramah (Ramah, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 0-13.

The Sky Hawks (2-7) will now prepare for their battle against Ramah (Ramah, NM). The Mustangs come into the 2A District 1 battle with a 10-5 record. In their last battle, Ramah prevailed over Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM), 85-59, in a league battle.
