Roswell Coyotes (Roswell, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Ruidoso Warriors (Ruidoso, NM), 74-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Roswell upgrades its record to 16-5 on the season. The Coyotes host Artesia (Artesia, NM) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A District 4 bout on Tuesday, February 10. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 17-8. Artesia lost 62-51 in their recent non-league bout against Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM)

Next up, the Warriors play the Portales Rams (Portales, NM) in a 3A District 4 bout, on Tuesday, February 10. Ruidoso will attempt to upgrade on its 8-13 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 15-7 record after their 61-30 league win over New Mexico Military Institute (Roswell, NM).
