In their next game, the Hawks face the Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM) in a 3A District 1 game, on Wednesday, January 29. Thoreau will attempt to move on its 10-9 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 11-7 record after their 59-54 league win over Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM).

With the defeat, Zuni moves to 8-8 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM) to play the Eagles in a 3A District 1 challenge on Wednesday, January 29. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 4-14.
