Wagon Mound Trojans (Wagon Mound, NM) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Vaughn Eagles (Vaughn, NM), 76-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wagon Mound upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Trojans travel to Mosquero (Mosquero, NM) to encounter the Pirates in a B District 1 bout on Friday, January 18. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 0-8. Mosquero lost 53-15 in their recent non-league bout against Santa Fe Waldorf (Santa Fe, NM)

Next up, the Eagles encounter the Maxwell Bears (Maxwell, NM) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 17. Vaughn will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 56-41 league win over Des Moines (Des Moines, NM).
