The Aztec Tigers routed the visiting Shiprock Chieftains softball squad by a final score of 11-1 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Tigers (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Valencia (Los Lunas, NM). The Jaguars go into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Valencia was routed by Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM), 18-1, in a non-league battle.

The Chieftains now possess a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Grants for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 2. Shiprock will confront a Pirates squad coming off a 21-1 non-league loss to Silver (Silver City, NM). The Pirates record now stands at 0-1.
