Centennial Hawks (Las Cruces, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Deming Wildcats (Deming, NM), 8-3 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 15-5 record. They take the field next when they host Deming for a 4A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, April 23. Centennial will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-8.

With the loss, Deming falls to 10-9 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Centennial (Las Cruces, NM) to face the Hawks in a 4A District 3 challenge on Tuesday, April 23. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 14-4. Centennial won 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Chaparral (Chaparral, NM)
