The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Deming Wildcats (Deming, NM) and the host Chaparral Lobos (Chaparral, NM), observed Deming's softball team prevail over Chaparral by a tally of 17-1.

The Wildcats (8-12) will now prepare for their bout against Silver (Silver City, NM). The Fighting Colts go into the 4A District 3 bout with a 16-4 record. In their last bout, Silver knocked off Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM), 14-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Lobos clash with the Santa Teresa Desert Warriors (Santa Teresa, NM) in a 4A District 3 bout, on Saturday, April 26. Chaparral will attempt to advance on its 4-16 season record. The Desert Warriors go into the bout with a 9-9 record after their 15-0 league loss to Silver (Silver City, NM).
