Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Aztec Tigers (Aztec, NM), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Bengals (9-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM). The Broncos come into the 4A District 1 challenge with a 14-3 record. In their last challenge, Kirtland Central beat Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Tigers play the Miyamura Patriots (Gallup, NM) in a 4A District 1 game, on Thursday, October 23. Aztec will attempt to advance on its 6-11 season record. The Patriots go into the game with a 8-10 record after their 3-1 league loss to Shiprock (Shiprock, NM).
