In Saturday's league challenge, the host Chaparral Lobos volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Deming Wildcats.

The Lobos (11-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM). The Desert Warriors come into the 4A District 3 challenge with a 16-4 record. In their last challenge, Santa Teresa edged Silver (Silver City, NM), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats play the Silver Fighting Colts (Silver City, NM) in a 4A District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, November 5. Deming will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Fighting Colts come into the challenge with a 18-3 record after their 3-2 league loss to Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM).
