The Maxwell Bears volleyball team (Maxwell, NM), was dropped 3-0 in Saturday's league challenge with the host Cimarron Rams (Cimarron, NM)

The Rams (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Wagon Mound (Wagon Mound, NM). The Trojans enter the 1A District 1 challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Wagon Mound was dropped by Springer (Springer, NM), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bears meet the Des Moines Demons (Des Moines, NM) in a 1A District 1 challenge, on Thursday, October 2. Maxwell will attempt to move on its 5-4 season record. The Demons go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 3-2 league loss to Cimarron (Cimarron, NM).
