The crowd at Saturday's league bout between the Lordsburg Mavericks (Lordsburg, NM) and the visiting Cloudcroft Bears (Cloudcroft, NM), saw Lordsburg's volleyball squad beat Cloudcroft by a tally of 3-1.

The Blazers go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Mesilla Valley Christian won 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Mescalero Apache (Mescalero, NM)

The Bears now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Tularosa for a 2A District 6 bout on Tuesday, October 5. Cloudcroft will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Tatum (Tatum, NM). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-5.
