Beacon Bulldogs (Beacon, NY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Peekskill Red Devils (Peekskill, NY), 61-48 in a league bout.

With the victory, Beacon upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Lakeland (Shrub Oak, NY) to play the Hornets in a Section 1 Conference 1 - B bout on Wednesday, January 27. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 0-3. Lakeland lost 71-48 in their recent league bout against Ossining (Ossining, NY)

Next up, the Red Devils play the Hendrick Hudson Sailors (Montrose, NY) in a Section 1 Conference 1 - B bout, on Saturday, January 30. Peekskill will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Sailors come into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 70-66 league loss to Ossining (Ossining, NY).
