New York High School Basketball - Mayfield edges Galway
The Mayfield Panthers (Mayfield, NY) basketball nipped the visiting Galway Golden Eagles (Galway, NY), 58-54 in Tuesday's league test.
The Panthers (5-3) will now prepare for their test against Fort Plain (Fort Plain, NY). The Hilltoppers go into the Section 2 Western - Northern test with a 2-4 record.
The Golden Eagles now own a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northville for a Section 2 Western - Northern test on Wednesday, January 6. Galway will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 55-37 non-league win over Doane Stuart (Albany, NY). The Falcons record now stands at 4-3.
