Wallkill Panthers (Wallkill, NY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Monticello Panthers (Monticello, NY), 74-71 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Wallkill upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Panthers travel to Rondout Valley (Accord, NY) to play the Ganders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 6. The Ganders go into the bout with a record of 0-4.

Next up, the Panthers play the Washingtonville Wizards (Washingtonville, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 3. Monticello will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Wizards go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 49-48 non-league loss to Cornwall Central (New Windsor, NY).
