Dunkirk runs down the final seconds of the Section VI Class B championship game against Southwestern on March 11, 2020 at Buffalo State College. The Lady Marauders erased a 20-point deficit by outscoring Southwestern 35-2 over the final 9:00 to win by a 75-62 score and finish the season with a record of 24-1. Dunkirk would not get the opportunity to play in the NYSPHSAA Tournament, as the COVID-19 pandemic prematurely ended the 2019-2020 high school sports season in New York.

Dunkirk senior Kymi Nance continued to fuel her team's comeback against Southwestern in the 4th quarter of the Section VI Class B championship game on March 11, 2020 at Buffalo State. Here, in a span of eight seconds, she drives for a layup, then gets a steal and finds senior Olivia Smith for a basket. The sequence pulled the Lady Marauders within two points, 60-58 with 5:13 remaining in the game.

Dunkirk's three-point specialist, Olivia Smith, got her game going in the 3rd quarter of the Section VI Class B-1 finals against Iroquois on March 8, 2020. Here, Smith drains one of four three-pointers in the quarter to help get the Lady Marauders back on track after they fell behind. On her 18th birthday, Smith fittingly finished the contest with 18 points.
