Iroquois Misses FT and Putback Late in Game, O'dell Preserve

Iroquois trailed Dunkirk 77-65 with under 3:00 to play in the Section VI Class B-1 finals at Buffalo State College before going on an 11-0 run to close the gap to one point. With 10.5 seconds remaining, Chiefs sophomore Zoey Zienski had a chance to tie the game at the free throw line. She had made the first shot to make it a 77-76 game. Here, Zienski misses the second free throw. Senior Logan Streety then grabs an offensive rebound and tries to give Iroquois the lead, but her putback is off the mark. Dunkirk senior Nadara O'dell secures the defensive board to preserve the Dunkirk lead with 5.8 seconds left.
