With the win, Elida upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Bulldogs host Liberty-Benton (Findlay, OH) to encounter the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 9. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 9-0. Liberty-Benton won 56-42 in their recent league bout against Van Buren (Van Buren, OH)

Next up, the Cougars encounter the Bellmont Braves (Decatur, IN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 12. Van Wert will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record. The Braves go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 60-35 league loss to Columbia City (Columbia City, IN).
