In Thursday's non-league outing, the Sapulpa Chieftains (Sapulpa, OK) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Mounds Golden Eagles (Mounds, OK), by a count of 77-49.

The Chieftains (7-7) will now prepare for their outing against Ponca City (Ponca City, OK). The Wildcats go into the Freelance outing with a 7-7 record.

The Golden Eagles now hold a 2-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to ASTEC Charter for a non-league outing on Friday, January 23. Mounds will encounter a Comets squad coming off a 49-23 non-league loss to Bristow (Bristow, OK). The Comets record now stands at 5-6.
