Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Sheldon Irish (Eugene, OR) and the visiting Tualatin Timberwolves (Tualatin, OR), saw Sheldon's baseball squad beat Tualatin by a margin of 15-3.

The Timberwolves now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Salem for a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 19. Tualatin will play a Saxons squad coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Clackamas (Clackamas, OR). The Saxons record now stands at 1-1.







Sheldon beat Tualatin 15-3 tonight at PK Park. Mike Ralston had two hits, including a three-run triple and David Bellamy and Justin Brabham each had two hits to lead the Irish to their second straight victory to open the season.
Tualatin jumped out to an early lead, scoring three unearned runs in the top of the 1st.
But the Irish answered quickly. Ralston drew a lead-off walk. Bellamy followed with a double into the right centerfield gap putting runners at 2nd and 3rd. Cooper Stiles scored Ralston on a ground-out and the Irish got on the board.
Ralston settled in and shut down the Tualatin hitters for the next two innings and then Sheldon erupted in the bottom of the 3rd with 14 runs, batting through he order twice.
Brabham led off the inning with a single. Ralston followed with a single and then both runners advanced on a balk. Bellamy scored Brabham on a fielders choice. After a walk to Stiles, Brett Nielsen hit a line drive to right scoring Ralston tying the score. Conno
